From an Idea
to a Movement
MapTheSkills was founded with a strong sense of purpose — born out of a need to respond to Pakistan's growing skills gap. Recognising that many young people struggle to find direction after formal education, the platform was created to map their skills, interests and career paths through collaboration with academic and industrial partners.
From humble beginnings, it has grown into a nationwide initiative connecting thousands of students with real-world opportunities. By aligning education with opportunities, MapTheSkills aims to create a generation that is not only knowledgeable but also skilled, confident and future-ready.

Muhammad Usman Haider Butt — educator, entrepreneur and visionary leader — believes that true progress begins when education serves its purpose. His lifelong ambition is to empower youth with skills, giving them the tools to succeed in the real world. Through years of effort, struggle and selfless dedication, he transformed an idea into a platform that now stands as a hub of development, education and innovation across Pakistan.
Muhammad Usman Haider Butt's vision stems from a deep observation of the educational system — where many students graduate with degrees but lack practical exposure. The mission is to redefine success by focusing on skill over position. MapTheSkills emerged as a non-self-promotional platform, designed solely for the upliftment of others, inspiring countless youth and organisations to join this mission of collective growth.
